About The Sauce

From the foothills of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley comes this distinct sauce handed down in a family recipe that is as distinctive and delicious as the food coming from this historic area.

This sauce has been used to compliment all types of meat over the years such as pork and beef as well as chicken and sea food. We are getting reports from people that the opportunities for using this sauce are endless, due to its distinctive taste. We were very pleased at the feed back that children were loving this sauce and using it more than ketchup alone.

As the name (Pig in the Ground Sauce) suggests we have used it on pork cooked in the ground and on the grill, in the oven or even a crock pot. The mixture of vinegar and ketchup along with spices and other ingredients make this sauce great as a pour on, injectable or marinade.

We are hearing from a lot of hunters that are using the sauce, as we do, on venison, rabbit, squirrel and birds and especially on wild boar.
