Pig In The Ground Sauce Recipes
Hamburger Recipe
- We like to use burger that is 80% lean and 20% fat. We take Pig in the Ground Sauce and mix it in the raw hamburger before patting it into approximately quarter pound patties.
- We use charcoal when we grill our burger, but we do them the same if we fry them.
- We cook for approximately five minutes on each side and never press down on the burgers. The reason you don’t press on them is this will press out the juices and makes the burgers dry.
- Try this recipe and I think you will be very pleased with your burgers.
Pork Ribs Recipe
- When we do pork ribs we cook whole spare ribs instead of baby back ribs. There is more meat and fat which is where the taste of the meat comes from and most of it cooks off.
- We usually take the spare ribs and boil them for fifty minutes and remove from water immediately and drain.
- While the ribs are still hot we rub them or brush them in Pig in the Ground Sauce and put them in a container and cover tightly and let them rest until we are ready to grill them. (This can be several hours if we choose).
- When we are ready, we take the ribs and put them on thgrill over charcoal and let them heat up, burning the edges just a little to get the char flavor and basting them continually with Pig in the Ground Sauce. This process doesn’t take long for the ribs to be ready.
- Tip – we keep a small cast iron pot approximately one pint of sauce on the grill. To keep sauce warm while basting.
- When we take the ribs off the grill we pour Pig in the Ground Sauce (regular or hot) generously over the ribs and serve.
